Day In the life of a muslim

Being a Muslim and living your life without being stereotyped or segregated is becoming harder and harder. Due to the news over emphasising the faith of a person as being ‘Muslim’ has resulted in all Muslims being generalised. I spoke to Mohammad Basharat, a 24 year-old British Muslim who campaigns to push people to make an informed decision about Islam as a faith after understanding and learning about it. He tells me about his life and past experiences of being a British Muslim, although he tries to justify the misconceptions surrounding Islam, he still appreciates the liberty he has, living in Britain to practice his faith without any intimidation. Mohammad ends on saying he is “proud to be Muslim but he is equally proud to be a British citizen.”
