The National Student Survey suggests that universities nationwide, regardless of discipline, are confronted with an almost systemic 'problem' with feedback. This presentation sets out the advantages and potential issues for reflection when using formative and summative audio feedback. My experience, derived from three or so years of experimentation within the School of Politics and International Studies, encompasses all levels and a variety of modules. Overall, I report huge, near universal, support from students regardless of the quality of their work! I also report some practical problems, particularly for other examiners. Finally, I place my experience within the context of other experiments with technology assisted feedback.

All in all I have found audio feedback to be popular, fulsome, positive for students and enjoyable (perhaps not a sentiment most of us associate with marking!) and would urge everyone to give it a try.
